Amazing natural landscapes, rich in diverse coastal flora, will surprise you at the turns of the sand dunes – wild asparagus, sea spurge, sands light, onagre, burning orpine, oyat, tortula… You will see how botanical species cooperating with insects, the different stages of the formation of the imposing dunes and their vegetation that we cross during the outing ; cobble cordons (sea cabbage – nationally protected and only present in France between Le Hourdel and Ault – Silène, Cornu poppy…), the geological history of the pebbles and their hooks from their migration to the North ; the wrack with all the marine plants that I offer you to taste on the way back (Salicorne, obione, soda, maritime Bette), and the biodiversity of the marine organisms we find on that wrack. This Art and Nature walk is a total immersion into the magic Bay of Somme, where we will take the time to contemplate landscapes, plants and marine mammals.
As the tides change, grey seals or common seals may make a surprise appearance in our telescope.
The outing can be modified to be accessible for people in wheelchairs.
